The Leadership Class at CCA is a yearlong course where students act as role models and serve the school to promote and advance a positive school environment for all students. Leadership is an activity-based course designed to develop students’ skills in planning, implementing, and evaluating school and community projects. Students will learn various techniques for communications, organization, promotion, evaluation, group process, managerial methods, human relations, and self awareness. These techniques will be studied and applied in a real world setting as students develop school projects.
This year's students are planning a series of Friday afternoon activities which repeat every six weeks. These include game days, sports days, movie days, and school dances. In addition, there will be lunch time activities on Thursdays and during several spirit weeks during the year. On the more serious side, there will be several assemblies planned on educational topics. The student's are also learning business practices as they have started a student store.
Friday Afternoon Activities are usually from 3:30 pm to 5:30pm.
