Approaching the Fall Break, CCA students lined up to race for ten-pound turkeys donated by CCA staff and administration. Waves of 7th and 8th grade boys and girls jogged their way across Yerba Buena's campus to see who would be going back for seconds this Thanksgiving. First-place winners from each cohort won a turkey. All other contestants' names were put into a lottery for even more turkeys at the end of the race. Overall, the students ran just under a mile. The afternoon was filled with smiles, sweat, and frozen foul. Have a great break!
