Updates after school closed (3/16/20):
- This is an important message for all of our families. The school closure has currently been extended until Friday, May 1st. At this time we are working on next steps for academic work for all of our students. Please continue to check the school website and Facebook page for current updates.
- Food distribution this coming Monday, March 30 from 12-1 pm @ YB/CCA
- The following schools will have food distribution from 11 am to 1 pm:

- Lairon
- McKinley
- Santee
- Shirakawa
- Stonegate
- Windmill

- At this time end of 3rd quarter (3/24/2020) progress regards will be suspended. Next update for grades will be at the end of the school year for your final 2nd semester grades. You will receive your report card on the last day of school (6/4/2020).

Dear Franklin-McKinley Community,
The safety and wellness of students, families, and school personnel are the highest priorities of all Santa Clara County schools and districts. The Santa Clara County Superintendent of Schools and all county district superintendents have decided to close schools for three weeks from Monday, March 16, 2020, through April 3, 2020. So far, the following information will be an updated list of programs currently closed at CCA:
- Classes will be canceled from 3/16/2020 - 4/3/2020
- Homework Club - canceled until further notice
- Parent Academy on 3/11/2020 - will reschedule for a later date
- Parent Engagement Meeting on 3/12/2020 - next meeting is on 4/9/2020
- Superintendent Advisory Committee Meeting on 3/18/2020 - rescheduled for 4/22/2020
- Field Trips to SJSU/King Library, Tech Museum, Art Museum, Santa Clara County Superior Courts, De Anza Planetarium, and Veggielution

Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament - 3/13/2020Honor Roll Assembly - 3/24/2020, scheduled for a date after Spring Break
- Multicultural Week - rescheduled for April 6-10, 2020
- Volleyball practice on Thursday 3/12. Practice will continue on Tuesday of the following week.
- GATE Fair - canceled
- Sports - will possibly be rescheduled in April
Health County officials urge people to take precautionary measures by avoiding close contact with people who are sick. Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth. Stay home when you are sick. Cover coughs and sneezes. Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched objects. Wash hands often with soap and water.
