Before he became a teacher, Mr. Prather was a substitute teacher for two years. As of the 2017-18 school year, Mr. Prather has been teaching for five years. Throughout his first three years of teaching, he taught high school Math (Algebra). He taught elementary P.E. during his fourth year (grades 1-6), and began teaching at CCA in his fifth year of teaching. Mr. Prather joined the CCA family during the 2017-18 school year, where he teaches Physical Education. 

He received his B.S. in Kinesiology and Physical Education with a teaching emphasis from San Jose State in 2008. He received his M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University, Irvine in 2014, and his California teaching credential in Physical Education from San Jose State in 2018.
