On a hot 85 degree afternoon, the CCA Ravens defeated the Lairon Bulldogs to claim the 2021-2022 FMSD soccer championship.  In their semifinal game, the Ravens defeated the Windmill Cats 5-0 with goals from Jose Avalos, Daniel Gonzalez, and a hat trick from Christopher Mendez. 

  The championship game was played against the Lairon Bulldogs.  This game was fiercely fought by both teams and the winning goal would not come until late in the game.  With one minute left of regular time, William Sanchez scored the goal that would allow the Ravens to claim the 2021-2022 soccer championship. 

  After the game, Coach Derrick had the following to say about his soccer team:  "This team was extraordinary.  Throughout the season I challenged them during each practice to be better than the previous practice.  I am proud of my team because they always want to do better.  Their tenacity for the game and ability to work as a team is what makes them champions."
