Rudy Duran has had the privilege of being a teacher for the FMSD since September of 2000. He graduated from Cal Poly SLO, where he obtained two bachelor degrees before moving to San Jose, CA to teach full time. 

Recently, after nineteen years of teaching Math at Bridges Academy, Mr. Duran moved schools to teach at College Connection Academy. At CCA, he is a Math and Social Sciences teacher. He has expressed that he feels very happy and lucky to be teaching with an amazing group of creative teachers who show him every day how much they care for their students.

When he's not in the classroom after school, you can find Rudy coaching Girls Varsity Volleyball at Yerba Buena High School in the fall, or coaching his club volleyball team, the Panthers, in the Spring.
